custom LCA's and Tubular Torque Arm Fab
ok guys i have an idea, im a certified welder and im thinking about how much it costs for the boxed and tubular suspension, IF i started making these items i can sell them MUCH cheaper than spohn and edelbrock but with the same quality. Would anyone want me to make them and would anyone be interested in buying them? lemme know cause depending on the replys is the deciding factor if i start making these. you would also have the choice for rubber or poly bushings installed.
Please lemme know.

ALL edelbrock torque arms are crap, so sence copying them
as for making a real torque arm, like Spohns, UMI, BMR, ect, not sure if you can produce the same thing, with the same quality for less and still make money. Have you sat down, figured out what you need, and what it could cost you to build?

How about build / sell something a little different....
A Wheelin' buddy and myself built some with Johnny Joints and chrome moly tubing.
Greasable, rebuildable bushings and have a little poly to help smooth the ride on the street. Strong as L.

Haha, my rod ends froze up and I bought Johnny Joints to replace them. Haven't put them in yet though.

They work great on the trail so I can't see them not working well in this application too.

i have figured the cost and i can generally sell them for around 25-35% less than the name brand parts, plus i port and polish heads and port match everything. i started out doin this a few years back on my 90 fox body stang, boxed the LCAs and uppers stuff like that.

One thing a lot of people do not consider when making items to sell is the insurance involved.
We pay a lot of money to have appropriate insurance for all our items in case a item would ever fail, not that this is something you ever want to see happen but things happen with every company, big and small, old and new. Many people can make items cheaper in there garage because they have no overhead.. they have no building cost, product insurance, health insurance ect.
I strongly suggest any person looking to build items for resale to contact a insurance company first... if you injure someone you will loose everything.
Also we have our own "Johnny Joint" in the works now

Good point, but aren't there liability disclaimers on most aftermarket parts used on the street vehicles anyways. They usually say for off road use only, so most people take a risk anyways when puttin these parts on their car. Later.
Re: custom LCA's and Tubular Torque Arm Fab
If someone gets seriously hurt or killed by a faulty product that disclaimer note won't hold any ground at all.
