These control arms use spherical aircraft bearings and Del-a-lum bushings to control rear-end lateral movement, as well as fore and aft location. No way, whats going to keep your rear from going side to side in cornering? Without the panhard i think the rear will just fall out of the car lol.

i agree, that's why i questioned it. It also seems like it would put a lot of stress on the control arm mounting points. It must only be made to go 1/4 mile at a time.

I have those GW control arms in my car....
You still need a panhard rod - they are probably referring to not neding an aftermarket rod with their arms.

You can eliminate the panhard rod with their control arms because of the bushing design. They put massive load on the chassis mounts and create an unbelievable amount of bind in the rear suspension because of the Delrin bushing on the chassis side. It is also that Delrin bushing which would eliminate side to side movement and therefore allowing the removal of the panhard rod. You can still use a panhard rod as long as you are using a panhard rod with soft rubber bushings. If you switched to a panhard rod with rod ends your suspension would probably lock up or tear some mounts.

it doesnt sound like a good idea, whats to keep the control arm mounts from tearing with all that extra lateral load?

I can't believe that claim... If they were cheaper and I had an extra car, I wouldn't mind testing them out just for ***** and giggles.
