Re: Lowering/bigger rim size

They'll fit if you lower it. You won't really loose much ride quality if you change wheels, but if you want a smoother ride, good shocks are what you want.

Re: Lowering/bigger rim size

Yea, I like the look of 17s more than 15s. But tires are more expensive. And if you get 17x9s, you'll probably need wheels spacers.
Which Z28 rims are you talking about? There are alot of different ones.

Re: Lowering/bigger rim size

They do look nice. I don't know if I'd want to spend that much either. Look around some more. Might be able to find a better deal. Those are more commonly reffered to as IROCs, not Z28s.

Re: Lowering/bigger rim size

If you didn't already get your tire and rims , here's a setup my husband just put on my 88iroc . 18x8 chrome irocs and tires for 1300.00 mount balanced and shipped to my door the next day ! Car was lowered using 1" lowering springs from Summit and cut 3/4 coil off front and 1 1/2 rear CAR LOOKS AWESOME. If your intersted in how it looks I'll send pics.

Re: Lowering/bigger rim size

if youre set on 16" iroc's just pick up a used set for cheap, polish them up and you'l spend less then 1,000. but if your gonna update rim's might as well go 17's and up, make it worth while but iroc's truly belong on irocs though imo
