Re: tie rod end thread

The tie rods themselves or the nuts on the ends where they attach to the spindles?

According to these aftermarket sleeves, they're 5/8"

http://www.jegs.com/i/Hotchkis/515/1601/10002/-1
http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/5250/10002/-1#

If installed properly, the outers should be RH thread. The inners will be LH thread.

Re: tie rod end thread

Oh, I figured they would be metric like C4 vettes. If they are 5/8 UNF...I have tons of stuff for that (sleeves and all)

Re: tie rod end thread

Taper on what? Tie rod ends? They probably are 1.500tpf (1,5 inches of taper per foot length) or sometimes called out as 7 degree taper.

As for the sleeves, I'm not paying 40$ for a small sleeve and 2 locking nuts, lengths of that aluminum hex tubing cost next to nothing, you can cut it down, mill it to whatever end hape you want and thread it L&R and be done. I'll end up doing that.

Re: tie rod end thread

you can buy them through www.colemanracing.com in the correct length already threaded at a more realistic price.
