subframe connector exhaust clearance.
i am looking at getting subframe connectors for my camaro and it looks like i might have a problem with the exhaust on the pass side.
i know this has probably been covered a million times, but does anyone have pics of their pass side exhaust routing and subframe connectors clearance.
i cannot possibly see how i would make them fit.
ill post pics when i get a chance, but its cold as ***** out now.

Re: subframe connector exhaust clearance.
what SFC are you looking at? most of them step up at that point and the exhaust goes under the SFC. Some styles will not work with the stock style exhaust.

My UMI sfc is about an 1/8" away from hitting. I'm going to have to put a piece of header wrap between the Y and SFC to keep it from vibrating.

Re: subframe connector exhaust clearance.
I just finished mine and exhaust clearance was my biggest concern. I used 1-1/2" sq. x 1/8" tubing and I have a 4" thick Magnaflow muffler where the cat used to be. I removed the sheet metal cat heat guard so I could mount the tubing as close to the floor pan as possible. I ended up with at least 1/2" clearance between the two, so I am happy.

Re: subframe connector exhaust clearance.
I know its an old thread but I didn't want to start a new one.
Currently doing my exhaust and wanted to know just how much clearance I need to keep between the subframe connector and exhaust?
Note: I just replaced my motor mounts with prothane poly's so the engine sits a good 1/2" higher now - thus the reason I'm re-doing my exhaust.

Re: subframe connector exhaust clearance.
I had 1/8" of clearance on mine, sitting still with the engine off. Sitting still idling (with a some cam chop) it would intermittently hit. Readjusted to about 1/4" and all was well. Obviously different set ups and different places along the exhaust will be more prone to movement, but typically most of us seem to have issues right there behind the rear wheel/cat area.
