Re: 2 stupid questions
if the sway bar is hollow it will weight less than the other smaller sway bar and it will have drain holes towards the endlinks..... i don't think any of the factory rear bars were hollow. may'be a aftermarket 22mm hollow or a hotchkis 1" hollow?????? . if your going to put a bigger sway bar on the rear you need one on the front the front as well

Re: 2 stupid questions
There weren't any hollow rear swaybars, stock, so the one of larger diameter will be stiffer.
The holes at the ends of the hollow front bars aren't drain holes, if the holes weren't there, there would be no way for water to get in to start with.
Apparently the holes were there to let the pressure out when the ends were welded up.
I'd just use the bigger rear swaybar. Bigger is better...

Re: 2 stupid questions
Are they the same size measurement wise except for the tube size ? If its off a little bit, it will tear your end links up or cause unwanted tension/twist on the suspension.

Re: 2 stupid questions
His first post stated that they are both from third gens, so they should be 100% interchangeable, except for the bushings that mount it to the rear axle, and they shouldn't cause any wear or damage to his suspension.

Ebay may have some sellers selling hardware as well. UMI, Spohn, and etc should all carry suspension hardware. The link above is to the Spohn site.

Re: 2 stupid questions
Bigger isn't always better!
I had the 25.4mm Spohn rear bar on my car and even with the 36mm front bar, it caused throttle oversteer way too much. I switched to the 24mm GM bar and it's alot better now. Just remember, that if you go to the larger rear bar, you'll likely need a larger front to avoid oversteering. The suspension must be balanced.

No its a good idea, just put the front sway bar on as well so everything is balanced!
I did not know that you could swap suspension parts from TA's to z28's :/

The sway bar is pretty easy to swap, just put it on, if your having problems, you know what it is
