spring cutting?

spring cutting?
ok so i started cutting my springs on my 87 TA and as i know most of you wont agree with this i did it anyways cuz im not made of money haha but i cut an equal amount out of the rear and the rear and the drivers side still sits ab an inch higher...anyone else had a similier problem? thanks in advance!

are they seated on the insulater properly and indexed on the perch the same way?
what did you use to cut the springs?
