Front coil spring on V6 and V8
What the inside diameter of front coil sprints on a '92 V6 and V8?
From some sources I heard that the values are different, so a V8 coil spring wouldn't fit in a V6 lower control arm. But I checked the values on rockauto and it gives the same inside diameter for both 3.1 V6 RS and 5.0 V8 Z28.

the diameters are the same. either springs will fit either car (motor application). the difference is spring rate. the v8 will use a "heavier" spring rate. stock spring vs stock spring, the v8 spring into a v6 car will raise the front of the car, and be stiffer.

I'm in the planning phase of a V6 to V8 swap.
Based on your reply it's enough to change the front to V8 springs and they will fit perfectly to the current V6 front.
