qa1 f series or koni yellows?

still debating on what rear shocks would be good on my car
its a ls1 . t56 set up.
race weight is 3400 maybe a bit less with out 18 up front.
as of now im not looking at front shocks ill be redoing my whole front suspensions. alignment. center link . tie rod ends. strut mount. etc. adj tokicos up front...

in the rear i have a 4th gen 3:42 diff.
i have umi lcas.
relocation brackets.
hotchckis panhard rod
sportline lowering srpings
some sucky old kyb gr2s.
and the iroc sway bar

so im lookinG at the rear shocks single adjustable qa1s. and koni adjustables.

id like a good ride. for track, and street, and better handling on the corners

any suggestions any deals?

Factory Koni yellow rears are a great shock, but not changable in compression valving. Those QA1's are a very good shock and fully rebuildable with the ability to custom valve them also.

Bank for the buck? Koni
Which is better? QA1

It's a good thing you can have the QA1's rebuilt, because you'll be doing that a lot. I wouldnt spend more than a dollar on them.

Yes agree, I have contacts on them in my circle track racing. Thats why I run 6 of them on my Vetruck. 4 up front and two in the rear. The other two rears are Rancho 9000's with on the fly controls for heavy loads I carry in this truck.

I send them to Naake to get rebuilt once a year aprox. with our other race shocks off the NASCAR truck. I throuw my Koni reds back on my street truck for the week they are gone for rebuid

What do they charge you? I have a pair one is junk after a whole 3k miles and I just want to fix it and get rid of them.

I depends on what needs to be done. Derek (my driver, its his friend) told me last time I owed him $40 a shock for the two rears. I had them revalved from a 4/0-12 to a 6/0-12, new seals and of course new oil. They are both digressive disc single rebound adjustables with threaded bodies.
