It seems like every time I hit a dip in the road I hear a noise that sounds like my right rear is bottoming out. I went to a parts store and bought some new shocks for the back, thinking they were just worn out since they were the original shocks. The noise is still there and it's driving me crazy. I dropped my gas tank and had to remove the pan hard bars(I think thats what they are called)and every since then I have heard the noise. I know I put it all back together right, so I can't understand why the noise is there. Could I have tightened the bolts to tight?

Check the exhaust hanger brackets and make sure they were all put back in place correctly. Also check that the rubber spring isolator bushings were put back in place on top of the rear springs. Just taking a couple of stabs in the dark. Good luck, Lon.

 

Did you check the sway bar end links? I had one break recently myself. There isn't alot of things back there. Maybe a shock lost all it's oil or something.
