Camaro shakes at high speeds
Camaro shakes at high speeds
If I get on the highway my camaro starts shaking pretty bad. The tires are in good shape. Also if I turn my steering wheel all the way to either side and back-up the front end starts to "hop", like i'm driving over bumps. Are these related, any ideas? Thanks

I would suggest starting with the balljoints.
Jack up the car and try to push/pull on the top/bottom of the tire. If you have a lot of play, bad balljoints.
I am in the proces of replaceing my torque arm bushing. My car shakes bad at 70+ since the t.a.bar is vibrating.
All our cars get the shakes at about 80 due to the critical speed of the driveshaft(steel ones). Anything else that is bad will be more noticable at that speed.
While you got the car up, give a good tug on the idler arm, tie rods and pitman arm. You should not have an excessive amount of play in any of those parts.

Should you decide the drive shaft is the culprit and require an alum shaft, I sell them regularly on this site. $155 shipped, money order, certified check, or PayPal. If you have questions, please let me know.
