I want koni equipment for my '84 TA for good street handling, but I found out today it would set me back $1200 just for struts and shocks!! should I just save some cash and settle for kyb??or just go all and treat myself.I think I need to discuss this with some fellow thirdgeners in order to make a sane and rational decision

Well I bought my car with koni reds upfront thank god, but the handling was amazing compared to the other thirdgens I test drove. I now love highway entrance and exit ramps. Needless to say though, even on the softest setting they are no smooth ride.

There in no comparing KONIs with any other shock/strut brand--they are the best. You'll find better deals out there than the $1200.00 (!) so shop around.
