17" Tires

Could someone give me some information on the best size tires for 17" rims. I want to have no clearance problems. I figure I may have to have two different sizes for the front and back. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

There are lots of us running 275x40-R17 front & rear on 17x9 rims.

Another coomon configuration is 255 45 R17 up front with the 275's in the rear.

Some are also running 315's on 17-11 rims in the rear

Re: 17" Tires

I've got 11s on back. Just a stock ZR-1 offset and 1" spacer/adapter. No spacers with a 4th gen rear. Had to flatten one small area in the wheelwell and that was it. I'm only running 275 wide, though. The guys with 315s probably have to do a little more work.

As far as I know, that's all you have to do to run the 315s. Just play with the inside of the wheel well a little. I plan to get a set as soon as I can...just so I can show em off, don't really need them.
