question about my strut tower
so it seems that my strut tower (?) on the drivers side "slipped" towards the center and if now cutting into my air intake hose. will there be any problem if i just unbolt it a little bit, slide it back up, and tighten it?

Re: question about my strut tower
That adjustment (those 3 studs) are part of your front end alignment. If you move one or both, you effect the alignment on the front end.
I would look more into seeing if you can turn the air filter housing away from it any (i know it sits in notches but...) then try getting the hose away from it to help some more.
I would NOT just randomly move the strut mount(s).

Re: question about my strut tower
i dont see slippage either, the tower was put there on purpose. Either a crappy alignment job in a back yard somewhere, or something is bent from hitting a curb or something requiring the tower to be in that position for alignment purposes.
where is the other tower set? does the car drive straight?

Re: question about my strut tower
You might consider slipping something between the two pieces for protection. The old L69 pass side duct was equipped with a piece of flexible plastic to protect it from rubbing.

Almost looks like the nuts are lose on the retainer. The tires will push the strut and plate up towards the engine if they are. . .

Re: question about my strut tower
here's the other side. i guess i figured it slipped because after all these years i never noticed it cutting into the hose. I haven't drove the car in a long time so i don't remember if it goes straight or not. i need to get new tires sometime this year, so hopefully an alignment will fix this.

Re: question about my strut tower

that or just trim some off the end of the hose to make it shorter to get a fingers width of room.
unless your sure it moved but it doens't look like it.
