i have a MAC strut tower brace $98 chrome two point.for the time being my car has a tbi intake.i'm swapping it for a tpi intake.one of the things i was regreting about this swap was i was going to have to get anouther brace after the swap.now a buddy of mine just bought a 305tpi z28 so i wanted to see if it would fit on his car just to be sure that it didn't fit.well to my surprise it did fit.even with it not bolted down there still was about 1/2" clearence.the brace is for a throddle body or carbed f-body from MAC the same people that make headers and mufflers.like i said it's chrome so it looks good and it's a heafty piece too.i'd bet that you wouldn't find a better brace for the price.if you e-mail me i mite be abill to find the part#TONYSAMS72@aol.com

91 bandit, do you have a number or a internet address for the place where you bought the chrome tower brace and the part number? I have never heard of MAC so I have no idea. Thanks... Erik

Here is a response I received from Steve Spohn of Spohn performance
regarding subframe connectors and strut tower braces. sfc coming out in
January and stb's early spring. I think I'll hold of on buying the edelbrock
stb. He said they should be around the same price as Edelbrock's stb.
------------------------------------
This is another email he responded to when I asked him the sfc dimensions.
He uses the Y design like Kenny Brown. Kenny's are $295.00

The SFCs are made with 1.5" high
x 2.5" wide x .120" wall tubing. $195.00

I like the Eibach[over the Hotchkis], and they are very race proven as being the superior spring among the 3rd and 4thGen crowd.

We have SFCs, and they are the best on the market, maybe I'm biased, but they lock the chassis together like no other. Our new site
will be up in very early January, we [have]ALOT of new products available that are not on the current site.

You can see our SFCs installed at:
http://www.spohn.net/sfc

They are Part #503, come powder coated, and the price is $195.00.
They fully triangulate the chassis.
I will also be coming out with a TPI and Carbed STB by very early Spring, it'll be worth waiting for.

Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks. Steve Spohn

There you have it guys. I won't be driving my car till spring anyway so I figure I can wait for his stb. Hope this help,
Craig

Bisc, CHECK YOUR TIRES!!! If the alignment was out previously then you probably have crazy tire wear. Swap your front tires and see if the pull goes the other direction. If it does then your tires are poop.
