Will stock RS springs be ok with the v-8 in the car.

The 92' camaro was a 3.1 v-6 and i believe comes with soft ride cruising springs.(from factory) and im about to get a 305 TPI in it with manual tranny and im just asking if i can stay with the stock RS springs. I know their weaker but i was told racers used v-6 springs and the stock spring will lower my car.
Maybe LATER i will get a set of eibach springs or jamex or intrax but for the mean time i wanna keep the stock springs. Can i? will my handling suck whats gonna change.

Those v6 springs will work. Your handling will be just about like it was before. It will drop it no more than 1 inch. I used the v6 springs for a while in my 82 with a 350.

82'camaro is right,i've still got the original v6 springs in my car, they're fine. But a word of caution,a friend of mine has a v-6 firebird and found both springs were broke .One of them in 2 places. The struts have to be kept up to par whether its a v-6 or 8.Mines a v-8 by the way.

Transmission: 27 spline 700R4 (another one died) -> T5 goin in next
when i got my struts (KYB's), they only sold one kind for our cars, so it shouldn't matter. If you call Bilstein, they can tell you everthing you what to know.

Sounds like you've got it covered, but I've got stock V6 springs in my V8 car too. Not bad at all, but seems to dip a little too much w/speedbumps and the like. Not a problem though.
