questions!! some help me out.
ok i got a set of monroe sensor-trac sturts from a friend out of his parts car, they are said to only have a few thousand miles and they have more compression than my stock ones (with 108,00 miles on my stocks), and i got a set of Gabriel gas shocks and a set of Monroe senatrac shocks, both sets are for the back i got them for $3 each, at a swap meet, they are both 95%, the gabriels were only on the car for three runs at the track, and the monroes for 1000 miles, i know the guy so i trust him also on those figures.
ok my question is, i went to the performance shop here in my area to see about my SFC's and Struts/shocks installed and they said $180 for the struts and shocks, is that about normal, or can i do this myself, and if so do i need any special tools, i am pretty handy, and i have access to basically any tools in the world. and i have access to a lift also!
and do i need to replace the plates that the struts bolt to, i think they have a bearing in them, should they be replaced? thanks anyone, and any suggestions will help!

Man, do it yourself and save the money. It'll only take you part of an afternoon. Just follow the manual. (I assume you have one.) If you're like me, I'd rather do it myself in 4 or 5 hours than pay someone 2 bills to do it in 2 hours.
