LCA and Panhard Question

I have searched through the forums reading facts and opinions on the subject. My 91 has one inch drop springs and 17 rims. I put on a set of bolt on LCARBS and am looking to get LCAs and a Panhard bar. Being that the drop was just an inch, can I get the non adjustable or do I need the adjustable set.
Its a weekend car not my daily driver. Cant wait to get out of Afghanistan at the end of the month to drive her again.
Thanks.

Re: LCA and Panhard Question

Since you lowered the car, I'd reccomend the panhard at least be adjustable, so you can keep the rear end "centered".

Adjustable LCA's can't hurt either, that way you could put it on an alignment rack and get the rear perfectly straight, but they aren't necessary in my opinion. But I'd definitely get an adjustable panhard

Instead of spending a few hundred $, it might be worth your time to take some measurements and see if you need adjustable LCA's and an adjustable PHB first.

But my rear axle was offset to the drivers side while on stock springs, stock wheels & stock sized tires. Off by almost a full inch. Lowering would only have made it worse.

Re: LCA and Panhard Question

Put it this way...i needed a adjustable panhard bar for a STOCK ride height. My rear was sitting off to the passenger side 1/4 of an inch. Its just the way these things were built. Id be willing to bet a lot of people with the stock or non-adjustable panhard bars and stock ride height have the same issue.

I even talked with UMI about this issue before ordering and they said the same thing. Build quality. Since a non-adjustable is made to the same lenth as the stock on you will not correct this problem Id get an adjustable panhard bar and non-adjustable control arms if your on a budget. If you watch UMI's website you can catch a deal at certain times of the year. Maybe email them and ask when the next sale is. I got all my stuff for under 200 shipped to my door.

UMI has a 10% off Labor Day sale right now, for what it's worth.

My two cents, if you end up getting adjustable control arms, be sure to get "on car" adjustable versions

That's a good reason for an adjustable PHB for sure. I also needed one, and I didn't even lower my car.
