How many torque arm mount styles are there for the T5?
I am trying to get my torque arm mount working with my T5. The mount didn't come on the tranny, I got it from another T5 in the junkyard. I have the "lips facing out" torque arm, but my Energy Susp. bushing simply will not fit inside it.
My understanding was that there were 2 designs of bushings; one with lips facing in, the other with the lips facing out.... but are there multiple T5 torque arm mounts? I thought the mount itself was the same but the bushing could be either or, depending upon which torque arm mount you had.... Is this correct or do I have to switch to the "lips facing in" torque arm and get a "lips facing in" bushing??
HELP!

That's my understanding for 84-92; however, the 82-83 models, IIRC, are different. The following links might prove useful:

According to the other post, you have the mount from an 85--same year as my IROC. I'm using 84-92 Torque Arm Mount Bushing (Lips facing away from driveshaft (Jeg's 355-3-1111R). Fits fine.

It just doesn't fit at all; it does this:

It seems no amount of clamping it down results in a proper fit - It fits just fine in the auto mount though.

We "fixed" it by taking a dye grinder to the bushing and filing down the part that wasn't fitting. Its still a snug fit, but it'll work just fine...
