do you have to align the front end when putting on new tires?

I am going from 215/65R15 to 255/45ZR17 tires and wheels. Would my front end need to be aligned afterwards or would I be ok with out one?

You don't have to; but after spending all that money, don't you want (A) those tires to last as long as possible, and (B) your best ride possible?

When changing wheel size, I would get an alignment set-up for the lower profile tires. If it hasn't been done it a year, it probably needs aligned anyway.

------------------
350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

it depends, did the front tires you replaced have equal wear......if they did most likely you won't need to have it alighned, but at the same time like 82camaro said if its been a while since you had one it's suggested....
