Do M/T Sportsman Pros need inner tubes?

I planned on running some Sportsman pros(26x9.5-16) on my car and was wondering if I would need inner tubes? Also my rims are 16x8 wanted too know if maybe I could run a wider tire or are these just fine?

They are not a tubeless tire. If you run them without tubes, you'll be constantly topping up the tire pressures every week. I don't run tubes in my ET Drags and every week or 2 they go flat.

I had a set for over a year that didn't lose any air without tubes. Most of the time they sat in the garage though. The tubes just add weight IMO.

How do like the Sportsman Pro tires, they hook pretty good? Do you think they are better that Drag radials?

I also have a set of Sportsman Pro's without tubes, which I drive very often, and they have kept their inflation very well over the course of aboiut 6 months. I might have topepd them off once in the 6 months.

On my car they hooked better than drag radials. Neither drag radials or the Sportsman's will hook like slicks, however.

Hope this helps.

I'm just looking for some tires that I can use on the street. I do alot of street racing and wanted something better than the Pirellis I have now(they spin real bad). Just trying to decide on the NITTOS OR Sportsman Pros. Thanks

if your gonna run them tires without tubes coat the inside with dawn dishwashing liquid this will help keep em from losing air it may sound weird but we do it with all our drag slicks that dont have tubes
