WS6 vs Eibach Sportlines

Hello, sorry if this question has already been posed, but I have the opportunity to acquire some WS6 springs for around 20 bucks. I had been planning to go with the eibach sportlines. The fact that it will cost me another 200 for the latter does not matter to me, unless they perform similarly.
How do they compare? I want my car to stick to the road, and I am not worried about a bumpy ride.
I have the level 1 suspension with the
following mods;
GM Wonderbar
Homemade subframe connectors
Soon to come;
36mm front, 24mm rear sway bars
Homemade strut tower brace

Thanks,
Clint

You must first decide what speed you want your car to stick like glue. Everything is a compromise so you've got to pick. you can set it up for high speed handleing like road racing or flying along at 130 or so through corners. Or you can go towards slow course racing like solo or a tight corner carver. Think about what you will be doing in the car most of the time and be honest with yourself. Another tip is lighter is faster and handles better all the time.

sportlines will be slightly stiffer, but definatly lower. i've had em on my car for about 5 years and super happy with them.

Well there is one corner I love to carve through everyday, It basically a semi-circle. The governor on my car stops me at 115, and it feels very stable at those speeds, but I really do not need to be going that fast anyhow. I would want max traction in corners, but decent traction in straight line acceleration, too. I plan to switch to 4th gen wheels too(275/...), sometime next year.
They have an event at the local 4/10m circle track for us street drivers, and a good suspension is key.
Hit me back please,
Clint

What kind of banking does your track have and how often will you run there? Sounds like you need a tight set up with the option to put the circle track alighnment when your playing on the weekend. The problem occurs when you need a diferent set up for left hand turning and the street. What kind of competition will you see at the track? Street cars or local track cars?

Well I know I do not have something to compete with everyone, but this event includes anything from station wagons to C5 Vettes, T/A's, & Supercharged Mustangs. I would say it is a 20- 30 degree banking turning left at all times. More banking on the outside lane. These are all street cars.

Just to try and sum up this topic. I think you should invest in a couple of chassis books. You would find them very interesting and they provide lots of entertainment. With the street set up you might want to stay with a factory spring or even a softer one for the bumps on the road. Racing at the track however you would want a stiff spring especially on the right front. If the track was flat you could use softer springs and put in stiffer sway bars (this would be good for the street). The high bank track needs harder springs to keep the car from rolling over. Maybe a good compromise would be drop springs since they are harder. Sway bars help but will over load the left front on high banked tracks. Good luck and have fun.
