Sticking front left caliper

After a few minutes of city driving, my front left brake starts to act funny. Here are some of the symptoms..
1. the brake gets hot and smokes
2. it wants to or pulls left, whether on or off the brake.
3. when it gets real hot, it locks up.
4. it also eats a inner brake pad per 2 weeks.

So far it has a new caliper, rotor, and numerous brake pads. It also has been bled like crazy. Im thinking of taking it to a shop to see if its the line that needs to be replaced.

Until then Ill only be driving to places that require highway driving. It cools the brake enough so that it doesnt smoke when I get to my destination.

To clarify, he means the flexable hose that goes from the hard line to the caliper. I thought i might tell you that.. i know i wouldn't want to bend a new hard line!!! Do the other side while you are at it.

The hose is cheap and easy to change. Did both of mine and it fixed all my problems.

theres a good chance it's not your hose, but if you change one, always change the other at the same time because the weak link will be the hose you don't replace, and a bad rupture on a front hose can easily mean death to you and/or others. if it was my guess, the square cut seal in your caliper bore is shot. This seal is what forces the piston to retract when you let off the pedal. If your hose was gone, there would be fluid pissing down the inside of your wheel. until you know you've fixed your problem, be nice to your car.

What they are talking about is the brake hose collapsing - not leaking. This condition will toss your ride right in the ditch if it gets bad enough! - not to mention ruin some brakes and a tire..... This is a common problem with third-gen F-bodies in my experience.
