EIBACH SPRINGS SPORTLINE OR PROKIT????

What is the most common for a GTA, sportline is 1in drop all the way around, pro kit is 1.6in front and 1.3in in the rear. If anyone has them on their car let me know your opinion. send pics if you have. thanks

Definitely go with the sportlines. You have to figure that their lowering specs are from the factory height. Most of our cars already have slightly saggy springs, so it won't lower the car as much as it claims. I've got the sportlines on my car, and I'm considering going a little lower. You can check out my website to see pics. Well, if fbody.com ever gets back online.

I have the Pro Kit Springs, but I still ended up cutting 3/4 coil out of the fronts to get the ride heighth I wanted.Cut some out of the rears as well. Still, I think they're good springs. You will probably see little difference in height between your stock (slightly sagging from age) springs and the Sport Lines.

I think you have it backwards. The Pro-Kit lowers the car 1-1+1/2 inches from original height, and the Sportline will lower it from 1+3/4-2+1/4 inches from original. So it all depends on how low you want to go. My Pro-kit dropped the back just under an inch, (it was already sagging pretty bad), and the front was lowered just over 1+1/2 inches, eliminating the "nose up" stance. Looks great and handles much better.

Ditto KEN88GTA. It got rid of the 'butt sag' and what now seems like a monstrous amount of space between the tire and body. Handles great.

BTW - I got mine from tirerack.com. I just checked and they are $208 + s&h.

Go to www.ws6.com/f-bodygp.htm They have Pro-kits for $193.00 + S&H and Sportlines for $183.00 + S&H. Call RD Enterprises, they have what you need.

Pro-kit is more for handling. Sportline for looks. How do you plan to use the car? I love my Eibach Pro-Kit springs.

Backwards once again. Pro-kit are progressive springs, therefore are tuned for half comfort and half performance. The sportlines are linear and naturally stiffer, therefore more performance oriented. Thats why the sportlines can get away with dropping your car a little more because the springs can resist suspension movement more than the pro-kits can, preventing you from scraping or bottoming out.

These test results may help you decide which is better for you. http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/tests/eibach.htm

Pro Kits are for PERFORMANCE and Sports are for LOOKS.

BTW the Pro Kits usually have a higher spring rate.

You guys must be crazy... Coming straight from the website that lonsal provided for us: The pro-kit "increases the spring rate just enough to provide a good balance between ride comfort and cornering performance". The sportlines lower the car more and "again increases the spring rate to help prevent 'bottoming out'." "The Sportline spring's goal is to make the car as low as possible, while again improving handling for the more aggressive driver."

Enough said.
