a quick ?'s on subframe connectors
i do know its a pretty good idea to get them in higher horse powered cars.
i looking at an 87 iroc with a 450hp motor in it and 373's in the rear. does not have the connectors now.
the car has T-tops, what would i look for to see if the the car is twisted (if that's an issue)?
and is there a magic hp rating when one should install them?
any info would be great, thanks

Re: a quick ?'s on subframe connectors
Look at the C-pillars / rear t-top areas look for signs of cracking, bends or tares in the sheet metal etc. there are other stress areas as well but those are the easiest to find. so this is a car for sale your looking at? ask for the dyno sheet and what it had on it at the time of being dynod, i can almost guarantee if he isn't running sub frames now i doubt theirs 450hp.
There is no magic number these unibodys were lacking in chassis reinforcements as soon as they rolled off the assembly lines.

thanks, this is a good to know info. i did plan on asking for paper work to prove all claims. usually their facial expressions tell the story when you ask for this stuff face to face.
