Spohn Questions

Was wondering on the ride quality of the Spohn adjustable items, namely the ones with spherical rod ends....also, would these parts bolt in? One more question, what kind of adjustability is in these pieces? Thanks!

Tons of adjustability...

Quality is the best I have seen....

Direct bolt in....

Spherical rod ends are noisey, but I can live with my noise, some people don't want to hear them.

It's all a matter of opinion...

Read my post "Anyone looking to get LCAs or other rod end parts read this!!!!! "

I emailed BMR about rod end parts because I was going to get them. My post both my email to them and their email back to me.

Basically, they say that rod end parts are not going to last (more than 6 months) on our cars.

Read the post, though--good info

The key to long life is to use a quality teflon lined moly rod end.

I asked BMR about these. They said that the teflon liner merely prolongs the inevitable and not for that long. But if you have used them with success, I don't know how to argue with that.

How long are your rod ends lasting?

That's great! I am about to upgrade my rear suspension and I want rod end LCAs but then I got word they wouldn't last. But hey, if you've been using them for 2-3years and their still good, then I'll definitely get them.

What company made yours? Did they come with teflon liners or did you put those ends on?

I imagine it's not good; does the car completely lose it? Why would rod ends be anyless durable than poly or rubber ends?

Poly and rubber bushings are completely contained inside a steel eye welded to the end of the component. A rod end is threaded into the end of the component. In some critical applications, a rod ended component will have a safety loop around it which encloses the mounting point to keep everything from flying apart in case of failure.

That's only true for non-adjustable's. The adjustable LCAs and Panhard Rods have the poly bushing in an eye and its treaded in just like a rod end.

I was generalizing. But reading it again, I see I didn't answer the question anyway.
