I'd like to know also.
I've got a shift kit that really slams the gears, and I've trashed mine.
Any ideas guys?

I think any name brand will be fine. IE: Mosier (sp?) or the other big suspension company that i can't remember.

precision U-Joints are a good choice. They offer the standard u-joints and ones called Super u-joints which come with grease fittings. Summit offers these.

We sell the super joints at work and I've never had one returned because it failed.

They sell the Super Joints at Auto Zone. I've seen them, and they look like a really beefy unit. The other brand I would recommend is Spicer. I've had good luck running Spicers, and they usually come with a grease fitting.

the problem with getting them with grease fittings is that they are not as strong as solids.

Spicer U-joints!

They are top of the line and are also what came on our cars with aluminum driveshafts from the factory.

I've heard that to, but then I talked to a guy that works at a trans/driveshaft/rear end shop.

He said that you just have do make sure that the zerk is being pushed on by the engine rotation. If it's being pulled, it will crack the U-joint housing at the zerk.

You kinda have to do a mental visual to understand what I mean.

So where do you get the Spicer units? I need them while the D/S is down. Also, are they the same front and rear?

While I was ordering new E-brake cables, I had the parts guy check the price on GM U-joints...$55 each!!! Forget that.
