1 vs 2" drop

Debating on which I should go with. I'll be putting 17" wheels with 40 profile so I'm lookng to drop my car. Front Spindle then Rear Spring. So I'm trying to figure a good combination. Also trying to watch out for being to low and hitting things. So i'm curious on what others have done. Also If you could give me your front spindle and rear spring specs.

Thanks!

Re: 1 vs 2" drop

I went with 1" intrax springs all around. Im happy. My car rides pretty smoothe. Exhaust scrapes quite a bit though

Re: 1 vs 2" drop

Never heard of 1" drop spindles.. I know of 2" racecraft spindles, which might be a bit much though.. Also, 17 inch wheels with 40 profile are too low profile, usually 17 inch wheels have 45 profile tires to maintain stock tire height.

Re: 1 vs 2" drop

a real 2" drop is way to much for any car that isnt only driving on a perfectly flat surface.

1" is about right.

Re: 1 vs 2" drop

I went with Racecraft 2" and swivel cup weight jacks in order to adjust. In back, I went with Spohn's QA1 coilover set-up with 200# springs. Did this over the winter, alignment is a week from tomorrow . Firestone Wide Oval's going on at the same time (245/50/16).
Love the stance, waiting to see how it performs.

I'm starting with a conservative 26.5" in Front, & 27.5" in back. I'll go lower, but I'm also planning a trip to Memphis --> New Orleans - Beale St, Hwy 61 into Mississippi for a Blues tour; then Natchez Trail Parkway for sightseeing; and New Orleans for food.

That will leave only those states North of Yankee stadium left (A New England trip)-- I will have driven my car in all the lower 48!

Re: 1 vs 2" drop

Thats not bad actually.. You don't have ground FX so you shouldn't be scraping like all the iroc and gta ground fx do lol.. In that pic you are at 26" in the front, correct?

that the exact height my 92 is sitting at, front and rear. I feel its about perfect. Im using through the frame weight jacks front and rear, and tall ball joints.

even have the exact same tires
