UMI SFC, Torque arm and Panhard Bar install in Super Chevy

I wanted to share the recent technical article from Super Chevy showing a few items from UMI being installed including our weld in SFC's, chassis mounted torque arm and adjustable panhard bar. In case you didn't see it in the magazine below is the link.

http://www.superchevy.com/technical/...ion/index.html

Thanks for looking!

Sorry I missed this earlier.

The price for all the items seen in that article would be $840.00 with hardware and shipping would be around $75.00 to your location.

I hope that helps!

Usually the passenger side is the exhaust issue side and drivers side is clear. What exhaust are you running?

We just added the bump stop and spring index to the A-Arms. We are also redesigning the entire arm (for a new look) and the arm will also include a bump stop, spring index and steering stop.

Thank you,
Ryan

i have a x pipe set up that runs along the sub frame rather than in between the inner frame. so i might be out of luck on any perimeter sfc's. until i decide to re route my exhaust towards the middle.

as for the a arms i will be taking down my k member soon. i will pm you sometime soon regarding my past purchase on the a arms.

Any time frame estimation as to when we should place orders to ensure we get these updated arms? I've been looking at BMR and yours, considering just about everything else I'm gonna do is going to be UMI makes sense to keep the A arms UMI too.

EDIT********
If I did go ahead and replace my factory stamped Torque Arm with your unit as shown in the article, do you have a setup for a T56 trans in a third gen? I might be interested in doing that Torque arm relocation in the future to stiffen up the car if I can get it setup to use with a T56. I know Spohn has torque arm relocations that incorporate the T56 trans, just wondering if you guys did too. Spohn is the only place I've seen the T56 trans crossmember for third gens. 2216-B is the part number I have been looking at, as I don't care for the driveshaft loop, but since I'm putting a T56 in it sort of doesn't apply.

Thanks for the question.

Right now all A-Arms will ship with a bump stop and spring index, this is our same arms seen now with these added items. In 2-3 weeks we have a newly designed arm coming out... basically changing the look while adding in the bump stops and indexes. These arms are on a car now and alignment is being sorted out.

At this time no T56 crossmember but we will have one shortly.

Thanks!
Ryan

I have to ask, but what is the appeal of bright red stuff under an otherwise not clean/rusty and most of all not red underside????

Re: UMI SFC, Torque arm and Panhard Bar install in Super Chevy

I like that UMI PHB design better than the UMI PHB design I bought. It can be more easily adjusted. With mine, one end had to be "uninstalled" from the car to get the wrench to fit the lock nut. The lock nut is right inside the chassis side mount so a wrench doesn't fit.

I can't really afford to sell it just the buy a different design, so I just deal with it. Just wish it hadn't even existed in the first place, or that the lock nut on that side was further out somehow.

Re: UMI SFC, Torque arm and Panhard Bar install in Super Chevy

I run red on my red car daily driver. I have red LCA and brackets in back. With a black panhard bar cause that is edelbrock (great deal on it). Then I went with black subframe connectors because I didnt really want them sticking out all that much. But I got a red transmission crossmember/torque arm relocation kit. and a red wonderbar. I like the red. But I udnerstand what y'all are saying. mine is a daily driver too. ANytime i have it up in the air I give the suspension a rub down to clean up the parts.

I run red because my GTA is maroon, I think it's justified. I like the flash the red pc gives off. Pure preference!

Hi Ryan,

Good news about the spring indexes and the bump stops. GLad to hear you guys are listening to your customers on here

Will the bump stop be made available as an add-on for people like me who already have the original version?

Thanks,
-Marc

Well that's more like it. This is how mine should have came. I like the fact that UMI is correcting/updating their design, it shows they are listening!

Also, I wonder if they will make a-arms with a design similar to SPOHN's del-sphere adjustable version? I think UMI has the roto-joint type bushings?

The fitment is good. I have not had issues. (there were problems that i've posted in the past but found out they were unrelated to these a-arms)

Hey UMI. Are you guys going to have a crossmember (with torque arm relocation) for a T-56 transmission in a third gen? Just wondering.

I didn't find one of these in your catalog.
