Don't need a shorter shock for that.

It would be a nice to have a shorter shock that doesn't totally unload the spring at full droop. With that said, I am running stock length Koni's and they do not bottom out. The bump stop (even well cut down) will make contact first. My rear fender height is 26".

You can add an cable like the drag racers do for the front end & the axle droop limit cables the 4x4 guys have done for years.

i have seen the lower shock mount lowered, that will make the rear drop more when you raise the car though.

Agreed. However that just isn't as elegant as a properly sized shock.

Yeah, although the shock mount already sits pretty low. Spohn told me about a year ago they were working on a lower shock relocation. I have not seen anything yet.

The relocation should actually make the axle drop less, as the shock is more extended and closer to fully extended at all times.

Re: shorter rear shock if lowered?

No need for shorter shocks. The bumpstop is the bottoming limit, not the shock.
