Yeah right!! Next thing you know, I'll be throwing a LS engine under the hood and painting the car blue....

I'd never even try to copy all the hard work you've put into your Camaro. There can be only one!

As far as I go, the only suspension stuff I have left is to get these LCARBS migged on, and I'm done. Of course that's ONLY the suspension stuff.....

Re: Suspension mods - could use advice from experienced

Just thought I would finally post the results of how much these Eibach Sportlines actually dropped the car from where it was....and it's A LOT!!

Just took a couple of quick measurements in the garage 4 months after installation of these, and here's the before and after:

Front Before: 27 3/8"
After: 25 3/4"

Rear Before: 28 1/8"
After: 27 1/4"

-So you can see the new springs lowered the car pretty much as advertised....around 1.3" on the front, and 1" on the rear!! It actually looks and feels like a lot more.

Re: Suspension mods - could use advice from experienced

I am trying to figure out my front end, I just ordered cc plates from Founders. I was going back with a factory style strut so I got the plates accordenly. Im looking at those blistens you have now. Those are not a factory style strut correct? Wondering if they will work with the cc plates I have.

Re: Suspension mods - could use advice from experienced

Thats a really nice car that you have.

Your car is lowered but its suttle - not extreme like some folks cars are.

Thats ok its just not my thing because then real world drivability and ride quality issues can become major negative factors in some cases.

You have to be up on information about suspension mods to tell that your car is lowered.

Thanks a lot for the compliment yaj15 - although I too can appreciate the look of a really slammed car - I wanted my car to be drivable on the roads in most areas. I was aiming for a lowered car that I can still get down my driveway without dragging the front end, or bottoming out over common speed bumps etc..I would definatley not "slam" a DD car...

To tell you the truth, the front ground FX on my new SRT actually drags more then my Camaro, and it's stock....so I "think" I've found the best compromise between better handling overall and everyday driving.

I never knew shocks had such a big part in handling until I got the Bilsteins on though...

Ha ha yeah. And the early thirdgen Z28's like yours had shorter factory ground effects kits compaired to the 1985-1992 Camaros as well. That should have a some effect on the ground clearance issue as well.

You know, I've never thought about my ground FX being any shorter than the 85 to 92's. I'd need to measure to really see. Remember, the entire front facia (upper part around headlights) is different on the 82-84 cars too I believe - it's not just the ground FX...

Anyone have one of each in thier driveway and a tape measure? lol
