Re: UMI rear suspension - Adjustable nor non LCA
If your car is lowered/going to be lowered/MIGHT be lowered.....Get the Adjustable PHB. Even at stock height, the rear axle can be offset to one side & lowering the car will only make it worse & can cause tire fitment.
The adjustable LCAs are more of a personal choice item. I got them because I needed narrower LCAs to fit my 11" wheels.

Some cars have a rear end that is a bit cockeyed. I discovered that mine is a little off, so in the spring because I'm **** in such matters, I'll throw in some on-car adjustables and have the car aligned.

Adjustables do not come pre-set at all, just the ends loosely installed. Easiest to to initially set the length is to take a stock one off, set the adjustable piece to match that length, install it then do the next piece.

Re: UMI rear suspension - Adjustable nor non LCA
That was how I did my double adjustable LCAs, using the stock bolts to get the lengths to match. Slip the bolt through bolt LCAs & make it EASY to slid in & out, not binding in either one, side by side. If each bolt slips in & out with them firmly side by side, they'll be the "exact" same length. Close enough to drive on without any damage to the wear pattern on either tire.

I kinda wonder at What point would they need to be adjusted if thier just gonna be matching the original length? is it supposed to be adjusted for highway and then again for offroad or something?

Hey guys. I'm wondering why I missed this thread. Too much eggnog? Nah.
If you're unsure of how to adjust or thinking you just want to bolt on and go, our non-adjustables are great. There are indeed factory tolerances on the chassis side and on the bracketry on the diff but really, non-adjustables work fine in most cases.
As JamesC mentions if you really want to make things absolutely perfect, adjustables are the way to go. Quite honestly we sell around 50/50 non vs adj control arms.
Either way you'll get a definite strength and bushing upgrade.
The PHB is a bit less mysterious as adjustment goes. We sell around 90% adj, 10% fixed length. Simply install, plumb bob from fender lip to tire, and adjust until perfect.
Now is a good time to give us a call to discuss your application (or hit me up on here since I'm paying attention now). Santa is on his way with a nice discount and shipping incentive starting Dec 23rd...
