Hey Berlyn.

How's it going?

Are you interested in more traction for drag racing? Our solution is improved arms with relocation brackets to improve the instant center location.

What are you trying to do?

If you are having wheelhop issues, get a set of aftermarket rear lower control arms.

If you like to throw the car around turns, get some delrin bushings for the front control arms.

Really depends on what you car needs at the moment and how you use the car.

Re: Delrin Bushing LCAs or Traction bars??

Im sorry I thought you were talking about putting delrin bushings in the front control arms or buying a set of rear lower control arms.

Buy the rear lower control arms. Do not mess with any type of traction bar. Especially the Lakewood traction bars. They are a poor design. Get a set of UMI or founders lcas.

First thing I would recommend though is to do some reading on here and see what is recommended. SFC's, Lcarbs, etc....

Hey Berlyn. Thanks for trusting UMI to your front suspension needs. We have 2031's on our in-house IROC and they have been abused without mercy for years. And are working great!

The rear arms and relocation brackets I linked earlier will help you off the line due to the bushing upgrade, actual material and design strength, and relocation bracket improvement. In the top hole, they work great for the twisties. In the bottom hole, you can launch great. Don't worry if you like the bottom for traction as your car will still work fine when cornering as compared to stock.

Good luck with your build.

R these the Relocation brackets?? Theres a red bar in place of the old control arm and then a smaller bar below it..
and if i got brackets should they be bolt in or weld in ? apppearantly they sell both.
is this setup meant for adjustable Rear trailing arms??
my heads spinning with all this stuff, theres too many options lol

oh and i think i might pass on the lakewood traction bars. i read other owners opinions and seems arent that great. some have been broken or weak welds.

Don't get LCARB's if you want to make turns well. You'll lose a ton of performance in corner entry but will have great acceleration on corner exit. This link sums up very well where you IC needs to be during breaking & acceleration:

Good evening Berlyn.

Those are these: http://store.prestoliteperformance.c...y-1982-02.html

They do a similar situation as ours but have a bit different mechanism of action. I'm not too familiar with their adjustment but they've been around a long time so I'm sure they have some merit.

Adjustable lowers allow you to fine tune your rear end's location and make it perfectly perpendicular to the centerline of the car.

Our relocation brackets angle the trailing arms downward toward the rear whether they're adjustable or not.

Relocation brackets introduce roll steer on corner entry but don't necessarily hurt in all cases. If your car is tight on entry it can help the back end rotate.
