opinions: subframe connectors

I'm wondering if subframe connectors would improve my suspension setup greatly,(if they're worth the $200?
The car will be my daily driver but i will definitely autocross it a good amount.
my current set up is:

bmr adjustable panhard
bmr lowering springs 3 in 300lbs rear 400lbs front
weight jacks
all poly bushings
6 pt. welded roll bar

looking for opinions on this. are they worth it.?

Yes they help...
I have the Spohn ones that are great... They are round, and tuck up nice under my Formula, hard to see... some of the boxed ones can be seen / are more visible from the side of the car...

I had a horrible experience with Spohn A Arms, and as a result, I'm not buying anything else from them...

I would also get aftermarket rear lower control arms and if you're having traction problems because of the lowering, relocation brackets for those too... I kept mine stock height, added wonder bar, strut tower brace and you can feel the car is a lot more stiff than stock...

Do you have a T-Top car? You iwll feel a dramatic improvement in stiffness.

Do you have a hard top car? You need sfc's to keep that window corner crack from spreading and growing.

how is the ground clearance on the connectors? if they hang down lower than the exhaust then i probably shouldn't use them yet... my cars already doesn't agree with any speed bumps.

the car isn't running yet but i have the gas tank out cause of the rollbar installation and i figure any weld in suspension upgrades i'd feel better doing with no tank in the car.

how about the wonderbars? the cars an rs and the spohn one is pretty cheap, or is spohn generally seen as bad, i've heard really bad things about their tranny crossmembers and such.

Yes, SFC's help, but with a 6 pt weld in cage I don't know if you need them. I have the Alston's and clearance is no problem. My car is not lowered though.

Mine is lowered and I have never had a problem with them. You can see em from the side though. My long tubes are way lower than the sfc . Makes for a bigger jacking point too.I have umi ones in red id go blk next time which would get em to blend in.

Re: opinions: subframe connectors

Hey guys.

The six point cage should tie things together pretty well but SFC's are cheap insurance.

We have an in-house '85 IROC with all our goodies installed. It's like driving a slot car.

We have our Christmas sale starting tomorrow (23rd) through the 28th. That would be a great time to pick up a set of SFC's at a great price.

I'm running the jegs brand SFC and I had to screw a 2inx2in 1/4in piece of rubber onto the passenger connecter to keep the factory dual cat ypipe from bangin' and clangn'.Other than that, major improvement.

Re: opinions: subframe connectors

I have Hotchkis SFC's in my iroc from the two owners ago or there abouts. Ive driven third gens without and then this one and i can honestly say this is the most solid riding car third gen ive been in because of the SFC's i think. It really pulls the car together and firms it up. Id go for a set. As for ground clearance you cant tell its got them because they dont really hang lower than the pinch welds. Just watch out for Y-pipe clearance. I had to modify my y-pipe so it didnt hit the passenger side connector.
