Something hitting floor while driving?

Lately, while I'm driving around it feels like something is hitting the floor behind the gas pedal. What could it be? I didn't see anything. I have a broken spring, could it just be that shifting? Also, when I brake it feels like something shifts. Could that also be the spring? Its more of a sound, but I feel it too.

Check your trans mount.

Isn't that more back toward where the seats are? I feel this below the gas pedal.

Re: Something hitting floor while driving?

Your trans is very close to the floor around the gas pedal. When trans mount breaks it may hit that area.
Check the mount and while its in the air look for anything hitting the floor.

How do you know you have a broken spring? also check your swaybar end links.

Yeah, I agree with TTOP, check your trans mount for loose or missing bolts.

Also verify that the frame rail hasn't rotted out on one side and is allowing the cross member to flap freely.
