I welded the mounts on my aftermarket one. I would look to see if you can use one with how forward the front of the k-member is. The aftermarket k-member tube is set back a bit, Get a rack and see if it will work.

I think I will have to notch the k member for the steering shaft but I do not for see any other problems.

The v6 and v8 are the exact same size but the turn-to-lock is different. The v8 also has a noticeably firmer feel to it.
