Aftermarket Trac-bar mod?

Aftermarket Trac-bar mod?

I bought a "fixed" panhard/trac-bar for my resto while back and now im lowering it 2'' and i can weld so can i install a piece of nice ALL THREAD to make it adjustable?

Its the basic concept behind an adjustable bar yes. I would think you would want a higher grade rod than the basic rod at home improvement stores. Those are like grade 3 or 5?

No i'd get an high grade part nothing cheap grade, Its my car not my mother inlaws

Well, the grade of threaded rod you use, comes down to if you like your mother-in-law or not?

I wouldn't want to just put in a chunk of threaded rod in the middle of the Panhard bar, but replacing a bushing on one end with a new rod end and tube adapter would be fine.

I'm guessing cuz he has a welder and knows how to use it. Guys like that are dangerous

I can give you a good deal on one of our bars new...which would be a much safer and smarter solution. To accomplish what you're talking about successfully, you'll need to install a tube adapter inside the tubing and make sure it's installed straight before welding it. There are certain measures we take in order to ensure this is done correctly, it's it's not, the bar will be all janky. haha
