Rancho front and rear sway bar?

I removed these from a 84 Z28 that was setup for road racing. I believe Rancho's car line parts was bought by Hoskins but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me more about these sway bars? Thanks

Re: Rancho front and rear sway bar?

Diameter, if it's hollow or solid, length and arm length (should be the same as stock) are all you really need to know about a sway bar as far as functionality.

Then punch those numbers into this http://www.auto-ware.com/calcs/swaybar.htm

You can then compare how stiff that bar is compared to some of the stock sway bars.

Re: Rancho front and rear sway bar?

You mean Hotchkiss. I don't know if thats true as Hotchkiss parts appear very different to the Rancho stuff.

This might help.

Re: Rancho front and rear sway bar?

Companies buy/merge other companies or subsidiaries of other companies. If they have similar products they usually delete 1 of the products. Sometimes they buy others just get rid of the competition and gain more market share. IMO, Hotchkiss bought the Rancho line and discontinued the Rancho version. Hence the reason they are different. BTW, I still have these swaybars and they are stamped Rancho.
