Urethane Bushings LCA Squawk
At this point I regret my decision to put in urethane bushings on the LCA's. Even though I greased them, they squawk so bad people stare at the car going through parking lots.. I am trying to decide if I should replace them and go back to rubber bushings.
Has anybody found a way to get them to stop squawking? These are Energy Suspension bushings and I used the silicone grease provided with them.. The arms and mounts were powder coated so they are smooth..
Thanks...

I had the same problem with mine, they did nothing but popped and squeaked, and the rough surfaces were ridiculously squeaky. Keep in mind I used synthetic grease which is what your supposed to lube poly with.
I went ahead with aftermarket spohn lca's, the delsphere type. I've had no noises with them and they have been working great for a while now. No complaints.

Gotta grease the hell out of em, and don't over tighten them too.

I use 20 - 50 synthetic oil on poly bushings. Put it in a squirt can and oiled them. Quiet as can be.

Can you squirt the bushings with white lithium grease when they're already installed on the car? Mine are squeaking now!

Re: Urethane Bushings LCA Squawk
I got urethane for the sway bar bushings but got the greaseable kind.. They have grooves in them to hold the grease.. On the rear LCA's I think they were so tight they rubbed off much of the silicon grease as the slid into the pockets.. I might drop them down and cut some cross hatches on the faces of the bushings to help hold grease in them...

This is why I always recommend Delrin bushings. They don't squeak. You can try all kinds of voodoo oil if you want to spend time experimenting but the sure fire way to stop poly from squeaking is the remove it.

I know what you mean. Mine have worked out well. Some people seem to get lucky with poly lca's, I guess we are not them lol.

I wish I had heard about the Delrin ones and where to get them before I did the Poly.. I dropped them (rear LCAs) this last weekend, greased them heavy, put them in just snug and still they make noise...
Guess when I get around to it I will get some new LCAs, have them blasted and powder coat, then go either with rubber or see if I can find some Delrin ones.. Never again with Poly... Glad I used rubber on the front last year, at least I only have to redo the rears...
Bought some other Energy Suspension Poly (trans mount and torque arm) and will probably just toss them into the garbage instead of installing them...
