replace strut mount when replacing struts?

From what I can see, my front strut mounts are fine.
Now, they may end up less than fine when I start wrenching on them.
After all, the look like they've been right where they are for a quarter-century.

Other than the possibility that I will wreck the mounts in the process of removing the old struts, is there any reason to replace the mounts as a matter of routine when replacing the struts?

Yes!
Factory mounts use rubber bushings = sloppy
Use the search function and research. I have and recommend the Spohn units.
