front end lower control arm
I have just discovered that the lower control arm on my 89 Camaro RS is severely bent! However my local junk yards only has two 84 Camaros, and a 83 bird and a 84 bird.
So here is my question will a front end lower control arm off one of those older cars still fit on my 89?? I dont want to spend the money if it wont fit...

What makes you think the A arm is bent, they are very solid?
I think you'll find the early and later models have different A Arms. My recollection is that there are different A Arm bushing for early and later model cars.

I found out from my mechanic, after his inspection he discovered the car had been t boned at some point in its life. The person who did the repairs did a lousy job as well, so I need new front end struts and lower control arm.

Even though there are 2 different parts, they are totally interchangeable in every way.
Furthermore, the same part, fits some other chassis; S truck, A/G bodies, iunno, but something. Something REAL common.
If you physically walk up to the counter at the JY and tell em you want a pair, they will ALMOST CERTAINLY have some already sitting on the shelf, in stock and waiting. They're THAT common. They'll be CHEEEEEEEEEEEP too.
Buy a pair; put all-new bushings & BJs in em; and swap em both out. Piece o cake.
I'd suggest replacing the springs while you're there, since they're wore out too, and they'll fall out during the process anyway. Zero extra work.
