Track bar
I am looking at replacing the track bar on my 86 t/a it looks pretty simple but didn't know if there where any little tricks to doing it. Looked at just changing the bushings but there are gone and not sure how long they have been gone was worried bout the bar being egg shaped where the bushings go.

Re: Track bar
No tricks; nice & eeeeeezie.
Hardest part is usually struggling with the old rusted-up hardware. Get past that, and it's all cake from there. Yer wizz wheel may be yer best friend here.

Ok that's what I was hoping to hear. Spayed everything with wd40 a couple hrs ago and crossing my fingers that it all comes apart and the new is right.

Re: Track bar
If you struggle with the bolt at the body bracket, don't be to rough with the bracket, it's easier to bend than it looks.

Re: Track bar
Well I didn't bend the bracket but I did break one of the bolts. Now need to get new bolts. Not sure but they look like specialty bolt so I am guessing I going to the dealer.

Re: Track bar
Yes the bolts have a specific taper that fits the bushing sleeve. There may also be folks here that have some left from parts cars.it sounds like people are still able to get them from the dealer.

Re: Track bar
If anybody has the bolts for or now of a good place to get them I would be interested in buying them.not sure where I should post this at but I figure this is a good place to start.
