What struts will work on my coilover?

Tried searching all over and can't get the answer I needed. I bought k-member and coilover kit on Craigslist. I was wondering can I use Lakewood front struts for the coilovers? What other struts would be good besides QA1. Here's picture of the coilover. Thanks for your help!

Depends on the brand but usually any strut will work except Bilstien hd.

Re: What struts will work on my coilover?

Thanks! I was worried that the diameter of the struts will be too big or won't fit for my springs. I know I need to buy torsion bearings along with them. I appreciate your help!

Since I dont know what brand kit you have I would call yhe manufacture first and make sure the strut you want to run will work

I wish I knew what brand I got. Bought it off craigslist and asked Hawks if they made it nope. So I'm not sure who made it. The diameter of the spring is 2.56 inch internal.

As long as they fit without rolling over the lip above lower strut mounting bolts you'll be fine. I have Mustang coil over sleeves on mine and had afco generic ones previous to that.

Re: What struts will work on my coilover?

Ordered myself lakewood 70/30 struts and will arrive tomorrow. I will make sure the spring will not slip through the bottom lips. I will post picture of it when I get them. Wanted lakewood because I have that on rear and want it to match up. Thanks for the help!

Re: What struts will work on my coilover?

I have the Spohn coil over kit with Lakewood 90/10's you will need to knock off the round plate on the top of the strut so the sleeve will slide over...only takes a quick smack with a hammer and they pop right off. If the sleeve is loose a couple wraps off aluminum tape around the strut will take up the slack and they will fit nice an snug...I used 3" aluminum tape on mine but 1" or 2" will do as well. Hope this helps.
