Lowering confusion..

I've read the thread on lowering and the thread on lower control arm relocation brackets and all I've managed to do was confuse myself..
I want to drop the car using the eibach pro springs.

I am not a mechanical engineer or suspension geometry specialist ..so someone dumb it down for me and help me out. lol

If I lower the car do I need to upgrade to adjustable LCA's, panhard bar and use the relocation brackets?

I don't race the car, don't do any wicked burnouts so wheelhop is not a concern.
However I don't want to cause any premature wear on suspension parts or screw up the way the car handles.

Re: Lowering confusion..

On my car I have the Eibach sportline kit. If you are running wide tires you will have to run an adjustable pan hard bar in the rear. My 19x11's were offset about 3/4 of an inch after I lowered. The adjustable pan hard bar lets you pull the rear axle back to the center of the car. But as far as anything else... for driving duty. You shouldn't have to change anything else. I changed stuff because I needed bushings anyways, but the stuff I put in mine is non-adjustable with all stock mounting points..except for the adj pan hard bar.

You also want to keep the panhard bar level. You should consider a panhard bar relocation bracket. It attaches to the axle side mount and gives a few more holes for adjustment. If it's not level at steady state, you could create a jacking effect in extreme conditions (avoiding something suddenly) which could cause you to lose control.

Eibach pro springs are a nice choice. The only thing you HAVE to have is the adjustable panhard bar to center the rear end.

The rest would only be performance enhancing. You definitely don't need adjustable LCA's. The LCARB's would correct the angle of your LCA's but if you're not racing, or doing burnouts then there is no advantage for you to have them, your car will drive fine. I don't have LCARBs yet, I'm lower than you will be, and race without any significant hindrance from my incorrect LCA angle.
