Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

I need (8) of these bushings for the rear Rancho sway bar on my 82 Trans Am. These mount the sway bar to the frame bracket. The center hole measure .375.

Here is the parts list from the installation instructions, I need item number 4 (part number 601140) parts diagram

I tried Energy Suspension, I couldn't find anything close enough and Rancho does not have any.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

Measure the OD of the bar and go the universal sway bay bushing section of Energy Suspension. And get get both the bushing and bracket. If you are mounting to the original mounts on the axle they should fit.

They stated they had no old parts available. I emailed them again today for assistance.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

Thanks for the tip, and that is something I have considered.

I may purchase some urethane stock and have a few made at work.

I have a few emails into other suspension part companies and am waiting for an answer.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

I have an old Rancho adjustable rear bar on my car. I converted the end links to rod-ends. FWIW, the matching adjustable front bar came with rod-ends from Rancho. The goofy polyurethane insert dogbone endlinks were only used on the rear bar.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

I was thinking of doing the same thing, I just need to get under there and take some measurements.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

I finally got tired of listening to the rod-ends rattle so I had some replacement bushings made out of Delrin. I have a drawing available for anyone who might want it.

Re: Bushing for old Rancho rear swaybar

I just priced delrin, an 8 foot piece (standard length) is $160 shipped to my house. A w foot piece is even more.......

I will see if I can find some locally.

I'll take a copy of the drawing if you don't mind.

When I make them, I will make as many as I can
