Corvette c4 /c5 /c6 front /rear end on a third gen susponsion question

Hi everybody.

i hope that i put in the right category. im just in the planing stage ( i donīt even have the car yet). but is it possible to use a c5 or ca (what is the difference?) on a third gen WITHOUT the torque tube if their is a adapter so i can use a t56 tranny mounte on the engine instead? the Price would probably be much higer if i go with it. is it even possbile to use the orginal gas tank with that suspension? i have also thought about using a complete front and rear end suspension from a c4. it seems much easier to fit. and alot cheaper. but is the price får a c5/c6 worth it though compared to c4? and i maybe donīt have to move the gas tank for the rebuild? i havenīt read so much threads about this yet.

so guys, what do you think about this? every input is gold worth

just get a C5 and be done with it... it will be cheaper and be a better car.

Considering getting one myself. Surprisingly you can get them in better condition here cheaper than a nicer Camaro or firebird

I agree with these guys. Arguably, the only advantage of IRS over a well set up solid axle set up is on rough surfaces.

I am not interested in a c5 im asking because our rules here in sweden ti a engine swap with that much more torque an hp. The things i need to change is the suspension and bakes. (A whole new setup of suspension and brakes). That's why i am interested to know. And also that i love the third gen chassi.

Just curious, what kind of engine are you planning to swap to? I'm guessing LS engine since you want a T56?
