Road Race and Drag Race in the same car?
So I've been struggling with what I want to do with my car lately. Its fast with an lsx swap I have summit adjustable drag shocks in the rear and been looking at springs and swaybars as I have the body roll of a whale. This leads me to this question I do love driving the twisties and having a car that handles well is important to me. Now at the same time I want to be fast on the drag strip(Isn't this everyones wish) I was wondering if you had adjustable shocks for the rear and front and a spring that took the middle ground between the two it would be possible to set up a car that even if you have to do some work between each type of racing could do both? I was thinking of course two sets of wheels and tires.
Thanks for any input

There are many guys shooting for what you are trying to accomplish. One of the most important components in achieving this is double adjustable shocks in the rear for the ability to tune compression and rebound individually for a straight line application.
The main difference in the 2 applications is that softer springs rates are usually used in drag specific set-ups while stiffer rates are optimal for auto-x/Road course.
Many customers are running a middle of the road set-up with good results.

I think even with koni sports with their single adjustability would work fantastic. All i ever run was eibach pro kit springs with tokico adjustables. Big 36/24 sway bars. Car handled extremely well.
And at the track, i just softened the front strut rate and let it eat. All motor 383 it was low mid 1.5 60 fts. Running mid low 11's. Then with the turbo car i left front somewhat tight and its been 1.28 60 fts and very consistant lower 1.3's.
Bang for buck it got the job done, dual purpose street strip

Ahh ok good to hear. So adjustable shocks seems to be the ticket I'll start saving my money haha. Any opinions on using ground controls weight jacks? seems like an easy way to change the spring rates and ride height for this

Sway bars are fairly easy to change out. Like mentioned, removing the front is a drag trick to get some more lift in the front, while a really stiff rear sway bar in the rear is good to keep the car level for even traction between the tires and launch the car straight.
Typically in an autoX car guys use really stiff springs and a lighter sway bar. Like I have 250# rear springs and downgraded from a 21mm to a 19mm. There is a guy on here that runs like 400# rear springs and no rear sway bar. You can run stockish rear spring rates and a beefy sway bar for similar handling and be strip ready but under acceleration and braking you will more action but good shocks should control it.
