A jack and a couple of jack stands are all that's required. Air tools make the job go a lot easier.

Jack up the car and support it by the frame letting the suspension drop. Use the jack to lift up the suspension by the lower a-frame. Unbolt the 2 lower mount bolts and the brake line bracket from the strut. Unbolt the top nut and pull it put.

You're not changing the strut mount, only the strut.

The strut mount should be simply bolted in. You only need to change it if the bearing is worn out. I think it will only go in one way.

After you put the struts on you have to have the wheels aligned for our cars.

Do it just like Stephen said. You don't have to do anything with the rotor, it shouldn't be in the way. Make sure to undo the lower mounting bolts first. When I changed mine, the manual told me to undo the top nuts first, then jack up the car. When you do it this way, the suspension just keeps dropping as you jack up the car, and the wheel never lifts off the ground. It also makes it easier to get the lower mounting bolts undone with the top of the strut still bolted in. If you don't have a really strong impact wrench, you'll probably need a nice long section of pipe and a breaker bar to get the lower bolts loose. Remember, up top, only remove the center nut on the stem of the strut. If you loosen the upper strut mount, you'll knock the car wayyyy out of alignment.
