Rear torque arm mount won't fit

Rear torque arm mount won't fit
Just did an engine swap stock torque arm energy suspension bushing is fit perfectly attached to the t5 the problem I'm having is the rear of the torque arm won't go over the pumpkin I've pryed on it still nothing I took the entire mount off before pulling the old motor while the back was on stands is this why? Any tips

Sounds like you need to do it The Right Way: remove the TA from the transmission, attach it to the rear, then put it back on the trans.
When you're putting it onto the trans, jack up the rear of the car high enough to lift the wheels off the ground, and support it with 2 jack stands under the place that the control arms bolt to the "frame". Let the wheels hang. Then put your jack under the pumpkin and jack it up about 2"; just enough to lift it up off of the shocks. Then put another pair of jack stands under the axle tubes and let the rear down onto them, but DO NOT let it hit the end of the shock travel. Note that I said under the AXLE TUBES: NOT the spring perches, NOT the rear control arms, NOT anything else, NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT. Under the axle tubes ONLY. You will find that there is so little force on the TA in this configuration that you can position the trans end of it with your little finger while you thread bolts with your 1st finger and thumb of the same hand.

so so I already have the car barley of the ground with the two jack stands on the axle tubes so fully take of the ta and start with the back first correct then attach to trans?

- Lift the chassis high enough that the rear end hangs off the ground.
- Support the chassis on 2 jack stands, at the point where the rear control arms bolt to the "frame", with the the wheels off the ground.
- Raise the pumpkin acoupla inches.
- Support the AXLE TUBES with a 2nd pair of jack stands, just up off of the end stop in the shocks.
- Attach the TA to the rear end.
- Now, there will be SO LITTLE force on the TA, you can move it wherever you want with virtually no effort whatsoever.
- Attach the TA to the transmission.
- Raise the rear, remove the jack stands.
- Raise the chassis, remove the jack stands.
- Drive the car.
