Torque Arm Poly Mount Optins (to make it quieter!!!)
Ok... Backstory...
I replaced the worn out torque arm rubber bushing with a poly one.
Nice noticeable difference and still quiet.
Upgraded to Spohn with link torque arm...
Sold it, bought UMI non adjustable cross member mounted...
Both the Spohn and the UMI make noise.
They both remove the mount from the trans, nice, but now being mounted to the trans brace and being the UMI poly mount (that holds the bar to the brace) is so HARD... I inquired with them about making a softer option, they said no.
Anyone have any ideas to make / reproduce these in a softer material, trying to make it quieter... ???

It's not really squeaking, sounds more like someone's hitting it with a hammer.

An observation years ago was that the bolts on the link up front need to be longer so that more of the shoulder is in the holes in the bracket, as opposed to the threads which are a little sloppy.
And obviously make sure everything is tight and no moving parts are hitting anything under the car.

Hit the Youtube and search for "DIY Polyurethane Bushings". Aside from the headaches of getting setup, and learning a new skill set, it's possible.

Is this the clam shell style or the "link" style crossmember you're having a problem with ?

Is your car lowered? Mine is, and when I put in my UMI torque arm, the top to the torque arm would knock against the tunnel over bumps.....but just a small amount. I looked under and could see the tiny indent.
Over time, it basically clearanced itself.

I had both, Spohn Link and now UMI clam Shell on trans crossmember mount.
I'll take a note of the bolt lengths.
Not lowered, all new springs, spohn and alston subframe connectors, new Founders LCA's 3 way poly, and Panhard bar, Bilstein's all around, Global West Del a Lum A Arm bushings, other poly end links, sway bar, wonder bar, jamex STB, etc....
